Mia Bogovac was born in Zagreb (1987) and graduated at Zagreb School of Design, majoring in Industrial design (MA, master of arts, 2011, “Design and Ethics”). She is a member of Croatian Freelance Artists' Association and Croatian Design Association.
In 2011 together with four of her female colleagues she has formed a product design studio Manufakturist. Afterwards she has continued to work as a freelance designer in product design and visual communications with a great interest in educational and participatory projects, in which she encourages collaboration between designers and local community.
International exhibitions and fairs in which her work has taken part include Istanbul Design Biennial 2014, BIO 23, Milano Design Fair / Ventura Lambrate 2012, Paris Design Week etc.
